The IIBA Denmark Chapter was established in May 2025 as an association for anyone working with or interested in business analysis in Denmark. As the association is still in its startup phase, the board has been working to establish a clear direction for how the chapter can create value for members and participants.

The board has developed this Mission Model Canvas to communicate the direction during this early phase of the chapter:

Our Vision and Mission

The vision of the IIBA Denmark Chapter is to be the leading advocate and resource for business analysis in Denmark. We aim to empower professionals, promote cross-industry collaboration, and drive innovation in business practices.

Our mission is to promote the recognition and development of business analysis in Denmark through:
  • Building a strong community
  • Promoting professionalism
  • Sharing knowledge
  • Developing competencies

Who Are We For?

We are for everyone working with business analysis – regardless of title, industry, or experience. Our activities are designed for practitioners living in Denmark who speak either Danish or English. Both current and potential members of IIBA are welcome.

What Do We Offer?
  • Networking and Knowledge Sharing: We host at least six events per year where members can meet, exchange experiences, and learn new things.
  • Shared Understanding: We work to create a common view of what business analysis means in a Danish context.
  • Certification Support: We help members navigate the certification process from a local perspective.
  • Visibility: Through our website, newsletter, and LinkedIn, we share knowledge, stories, and news from Denmark and around the world.

How We Work

The chapter is run by a board and volunteers. We operate without a budget, so all activities are carried out without expenses – ideally with support from companies willing to host events.

We emphasize that our activities should fit into a busy everyday life, making it easy for both participants and their employers to support them.

What Is IIBA and Why Is It Important to Us?

The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) is the leading global organization for business analysts. Founded in 2003, IIBA has worked to promote and professionalize business analysis worldwide. One of IIBA’s key roles is to develop and maintain global standards for best practices in business analysis – including the publication of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide), which is a recognized reference in the industry.

In fact, the Business Model Canvas – which the Mission Model Canvas is based on – is also a technique mentioned in the BABOK® Guide.

IIBA also offers an international certification program that recognizes and validates competencies at multiple levels – from beginner to expert. These certifications and standards ensure that we, as business analysts, work from shared concepts, methods, and ethics, making it easier to collaborate across organizations and borders.

Benefits of Being Part of IIBA:

  • Access to the latest standards, tools, and knowledge in business analysis
  • Opportunity to become certified and strengthen your professional profile and career
  • Networking with fellow professionals both locally and globally
  • Professional recognition and access to resources that support your development as a business analyst
Being part of IIBA – and the Danish local chapter – means helping to shape the direction of our profession in Denmark and ensuring we work according to the best international standards.

Want to Join Us?

Our Bylaws
The Denmark Chapter's bylaws are essential to our formation and longevity. They provide guidance for how individuals should conduct themselves and define how our organization makes decisions, such as holding meetings, fulfilling terms of office, and electing board members.
